2026 ACA Subsidy Calculator

Uses the official 2026 rules: IRS Rev. Proc. 2025-25 percentages, 2025 federal poverty guidelines, and average 2026 benchmark premiums by state. Last reviewed July 2026.

The enhanced subsidies expired at the end of 2025, so the math changed for everyone. Enter your details to see your estimated premium tax credit — and if you're over the 400% cliff, how far over you are.

How this works: your required contribution is a sliding percentage of income (2.1%–9.96% in 2026). The subsidy is the gap between that and your area's benchmark silver plan. We use your state's average benchmark for a 40-year-old (family estimates are scaled), so treat results as a close estimate — the marketplace quotes the exact number for your age and ZIP code.

Compare 2026 plans and prices side by side

Licensed marketplaces and brokers can show you every plan available at your address — including ones with better networks or lower deductibles than your current plan.
