Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for Dr. Dynasaur a child must be under the age of 18 and not eligible for Medicaid. They must be a Vermont resident and may not have had other health insurance within the last 30 days. The income of the family also determines if a child is eligible. Pregnant women in certain income classifications may also be qualified to enroll in this program.
Waiting Periods
There is a 30 day waiting period for children of families who have voluntarily cancelled previous health insurance.

Health Plan Options
The same health plan is available to all eligible members, regardless of geographical location within the state of Vermont.
Premium Payments, Co-Payments and Coinsurance
Premiums for the Dr. Dynasaur program are minimal, if any, and are based on family income. Premiums are paid quarterly.
Program Length, Enrollment and Renewal
Each child is eligible for health care coverage for a period of up to 12 months. At the end of the 12 month period, or more frequently if necessary, eligibility will be reviewed.
