Medicare Part D Premiums in Ohio
Once there, click on the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan Finder link in the 2nd paragraph. Then, on the right hand side of that new page you will see a section that says “Learn More About Plans in Your Area”. Choose your state from the pull-down menu and then hit the View Plans button. You will then be asked to select your county. Once you have done that, you will be taken to a page that shows you a summary of the results for both Prescription Drug Plans and Medicare Health Plans. Click on the one you want to view and the chart of plans will be displayed for you. We can send you a copy of the chart as an email attachment. Do you know if you can view Adobe Acrobat files? If so, we can send you a copy of the chart. We will also need to know what county you live in. 3 CommentsLeave a comment |

No problem Grace, we are glad to help. We have sent a list of Medicare Part D plan options to your email address. The list includes the name of the insurance company, the Medicare Part D plan name, the monthly premium, the annual deductible, the gap coverage options and the phone number of each insurance company. There appear to be several companies offering Medicare Prescription Drug plans in your area, including Humana, United HealthCare, WellCare, Blue MedicareRx, Unicare and several others. Now, the tough part is finding the one that best fits your needs. If it seem overwhelming to you, try contacting the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program for assistance. There phone number is 800-686-1578.

What are the rules for canceling and re-enrolling in the Medicare Part D prescription plans later on? My mother in law has been enrolled in a Medicare Part D (Advantage?) Prescription Medical Plan. She only uses it to get a few medications, so she has been considering canceling it because she feels the premiums are way to high for the little use she has for it. But because her health status may change she would like to keep the option open to re enroll at a later date, possibly in a few years, when she may require more medication. What are here options here? Can she cancel and then re enroll later on, or must you stay one since the time of your eligibility? Thanks a lot for your time!
