Kid Care CHIP Wyoming

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for medical assistance under Wyoming's KidCare program, the following eligibility requirements must be met: 1) child must be a US citizen or have lived in the US for 5 years, 2) must be a Wyoming resident (residing within the state of Wyoming), 3) must be 18 years of age or younger, 4) may not be a dependent of an employee of the State of Wyoming, 5) may not be a resident of an institution, 6) may not have had other health insurance within the last 30 days, and 7) must be income eligible.

Waiting Periods
There is a 30 day waiting period for children of families who have voluntarily cancelled previous health insurance.

Health Plan Options
The same health plan is available to all eligible members, regardless of geographical location within the state of Wyoming.

Premium Payments, Co-Payments and Coinsurance
There is no premium charged to eligible members. Co-payments are minimal and are capped at $200 per family per benefit year.

Program Length, Enrollment and Renewal
Each child is eligible for health care coverage for a period of 12 months. At the end of the 12 month period, eligibility will be redetermined.
