Nebraska Kids Connection

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for Kids Connection, a child must be under the age of 19 and a resident of the state of Nebraska. They must also be a US citizen or legal resident and their family income must be under 185% of the federal poverty level.

Waiting Periods
There is no waiting period for Kids Connection from the termination date of prior group health insurance coverage, even if it was cancelled voluntarily.

Health Plan Options
The Kids Connection health insurance plan is an extension of the Nebraska Medicaid Plan. There is one health plan option available to all children that are eligible to participate.

Premium Payments, Co-Payments and Coinsurance
There are no premiums are co-payments required from Kids Connection plan members.

Program Length, Enrollment and Renewal
Kids Connection offers six months of continuous eligibility. Near the end of the six month period, you will be contacted by mail and required to complete a short review form and requested to provide verification of any reported changes and wage stubs for the previous three month period.
