Illinois All Kids Health Care Program

Eligibility Requirements
Children are eligible to get health insurance coverage through All Kids if they live in Illinois and are 18 or younger. For 2006, children must have been uninsured since January 1, 2006. Starting in 2007 children must have been uninsured for 12 months in order to be eligible for enrollment. Children who have health insurance can qualify as long your family income meets certain limits.

There is one All Kid plan available and all members are covered under the same plan.

Premium Payments, Co-Payments and Coinsurance
There are 8 premium levels that determine the monthly premium and these are based on the size of the family and the family income. The premium costs range for one child is $0 for lower incomes up to $300 per child for the higher level. The annual co-payment limits range from $0 to no maximum, also dependent on family size and income level.

Program Length, Enrollment and Renewal
Enrollment continues as long as premiums are made according to your income level and/or your child becomes 19. Should your coverage become cancelled due to non-payment of premiums, your child will have to wait 3 months before they can re-apply.
