More State Children’s Health Insurance Programs
Illinois All Kids health care program provides comprehensive health insurance to Illinois children under the age of 18 or younger.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the program, children must be Illinois resident and U.S. citizen or legal immigrants. Children who have health insurance within the past 12 months can qualify as long your family income meets certain limits.

There is one All Kid plan available and all members are covered under the same plan.
Premium Payments, Co-Payments and Coinsurance
There are 8 premium levels that help in determining the monthly premium. The amount of premiums and co-payments you will have to pay depends on your income, the size of your family and the number of your children covered under All Kids. The premium costs range for one child is $0 for lower incomes up to $300 per child for the higher level. The annual co-payment limits range from $0 to no maximum, also dependent on family size and income level.
Program Length, Enrollment and Renewal
All Kids provides coverage for 12 months until the family moves out or the child turns 19. Enrollment continues as long as premiums are made according to your income level and/or your child becomes 19. In case, your coverage becomes cancelled due to non-payment of premiums, your child will have to wait 3 months before you can re-apply. If your child’s health insurance is terminated involuntarily, you will have to wait 12 months before your child can get All Kids unless your income meets the eligibility guidelines.
