DC Healthy Families Insurance Program
The DC Healthy Families Insurance program is a state-sponsored program provides health insurance for children under the age of 19 and parents and pregnant women who do not qualify for Medicaid.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the health insurance program, you must be a Washington D.C. resident or a U.S. citizen. Your family income should be at or below 300% of FPL to qualify for this program. The DC Healthy Families Insurance Program also available to pregnant women in need of health care in the family.

Health Plan Options
When you are enrolled in the program, you may choose one of three health plans of Amerigroup Corporation, DC Chartered Health Plan, Health Right.
Premium Payments, Co-Payments and Coinsurance
Premium depends on your residency, family size and household income. There are no costs of premiums or copayments in the program.
Program Length, Enrollment and Renewal
Your child's coverage lasts for 12 months. You may renew coverage by completing a new eligibility application that will be mailed to you 60 days prior to your expiration date. Coverage begins on the date that the application is approved.
