ALL Kids is the Children's health insurance Program offered by the Alabama Department of Public Health for children under age 19. ALL Kids is designed for kids whose family earnings are too high to qualify for Medicaid but not enough to purchase individual health insurance.
The ALL Kids Program and the health care benefits administered through ALL Kids are available to Alabama residents under the age of 19 who are either U.S. citizens or qualified immigrants. To be an eligible recipient of benefits under this state health insurance program the beneficiary may not be eligible for Medicaid benefits nor covered under any other medical insurance policy. Dependents of state employees are not eligible for coverage under the ALL Kids health plan. To qualify for ALL Kids plans, your family income should range between 101-200% of Federal Poverty level.
In most cases, there is a 3 month waiting period for children of families who have voluntarily cancelled previous health insurance coverage.
