PacifiCare Health Plans

PacifiCare health plans are specifically designed to provide its members with choice and flexibility in their healthcare making decisions. Within their suite of health plans, Pacificare provides a variety of Self Directed Health Plans (SDHP) through its PacifiCare Signature Freedom series and multiple PPO plans through its PacifiCare Signature Options (PPO) series. Growing in popularity are the high deductible health savings account plans which Pacificare offers through its Signature Option (HDHP) plan series.

PacifiCare's Signature Freedom health plans, in addition to providing members with a vast network of physicians and hospitals, offers members first-dollar coverage for routine and preventive care. PacifiCare's Signature Option PPO plans provide members with the freedom to choose their own doctors, including necessary specialists, without the necessity of a referral, while providing affordable, comprehensive coverage. PacifiCare's Signature Option HDHP plans are consumer driven health plans that may be utilized with or without a health savings account.

Specialty products offered through PacifiCare include dental and vision, life insurance, behavioral health products, and complete pharmacy and medical management. Senior products are also available through PacifiCare's subsidiary Secure Horizons.
