Where can I get a supplemental Medicare plan but not Medicare Advantage—that I can use while traveling to different states in the US in the next 12 months?
Because it is centralized, supplemental Medicare plans may have the same benefits. However, prices may vary from state to state and most especially when used in other countries where it may be honored. You may want to check first if other supplemental Medicare, other than Medicare Advantage, covers prescription medicine expenses. Supplemental Medicare usually comes in Plans A through L but not all member-companies share the same benefits or options. Based on some agents’ observations, Plan F is what many people choose followed by Plan J and G. There may be a separate plan (Plan D) for prescription medicine coverage. To have a better understanding of the different supplemental Medicare plans, try to talk to an agent of each of the insurance companies whom you think you can trust. It will all depend on what you might need as you will be traveling in the coming months. Ask an agent for more information specifically on Plan D prescription drug plan. It may have some time restrictions and could vary in each state. Answer by AnonSource- June 3, 2009 @ 5:23 pm No CommentsNo comments yet. Leave a comment |
