Pregnant and Looking for Travel Insurance
Some travel insurance policies provide limited coverage for an acute onset of a pre-existing medical condition. Maternity may have further limitations and might provide only limited benefits that cover complications of pregnancy up to a certain maximum. For more information pertaining to these restrictions, contact a couple of travel insurance companies directly. HTH Worldwide at http://www.hthtravelinsurance.com , phone number 866-501-3254 or Specialty Risk International http://www.specialtyrisk.com phone 800-335-0611 are both good places to start your search. 1 CommentLeave a comment |

Hi, I am not from America but may be I can help with some advice anyway. I am pregnant as well and will be traveling to Greece this summer. Actually I will be 31 weeks pregnant when I fly to Rhodos. I wanted health care coverage and I got it. I found that most companies would not insure pregnant women over 24 weeks, but some will including the one I signed with which will cover up to 34 weeks, so it\’s just right for me. You will also need to check with airlines to find out if you need to bring a medical certificate from your doctor. Some airlines require this for pregnant women. Also don\’t forget to ask them if they have seats with extra room. Those normal seats are not made for pregnant women! If they are not sold out, you should be able to get an upgrade to 1\’st class. Good luck finding health care coverage!
