I am looking for a Medicare plan for an elderly woman. From all the Medicare plans I’ve researched, I find Private Fee for Service Plan (Medicare PFFS) as one of the best options I’ve got. Does a PFFS plan indeed a good choice for her?
A Medicare PFFS plan generally works well in certain situations especially if she travels in order to receive medical service from a certain provider out of the Medicare service area. With a PFFS plan she can see any Medicare doctor anywhere in the United States as long as theyll approve the plan in contrast to other Medicare plans like HMO. The usual downside to this Medicare plan, however, is that it is up to the service provider whether they accept the PFFS plan or not. For example, the current doctor that a beneficiary is seeing may one day decide to not accept the plan. There are some who have experienced difficulty in looking for providers that support PFFS Medicare plans. This plan usually is a great advantage for those people who are in a place that have a wide supporter for these plans. Answer by general public - June 3, 2009 @ 5:13 pm No CommentsNo comments yet.
