How do I become eligible for Medicare benefit and coverage? What is the extent of my benefits and coverage under this program?
A Medicare benefit will be given not only to those who have reached the retirement age of 65 years but also to individuals with disability who are able to meet the standards set by the Social Security Agency. In general, individuals with disability still have to reach their retirement age regardless of their financial status to get benefits. To qualify, he/she should file an initial claim for title II benefits also known as the Social Security disability benefits to the Social Security Administration office. Medicare essentially provides Part A to Part D benefits. Part A covers hospital visits and stays in nursing homes. Part B covers outpatient services such as laboratory reports, doctors’ visits and X-rays. Part D covers prescription drugs and is only offered to those who are already eligible for Part A and B benefits. If you are having some difficulties in applying for Medicare benefit, then you can ask the help of a qualified Social Security lawyer to help you pursue your claims. This will ensure that you are able to get sufficient financial assistance from the government. Answer by general public — June 30, 2009 @ 1:20 pm No CommentsNo comments yet. Leave a comment |
