Group Health Insurance Quotes

I am a contractor for a non-profit organization and I am comparing prices for health, dental, vision, short & long term disability insurance. Would you be able to get information to me on these services? We are looking at 7 members plus their dependents; I believe there are at least 4 dependents.

We are an online health insurance directory that provides you with links to many different websites. You may view the directory by clicking on the product type you are interested in, business health insurance, and then select your state from the map of the U.S. There you will see a list of agencies, insurance companies and referral services that can provide you with quotes in your state.

You may find that a member of a non-profit organization may not be eligible for coverage under an employer sponsored group plan, unless they are employees or salaried business partners in this organization. Payroll records, business licenses, partnership agreements or article of incorporation may be required from any insurance company. They will need verification that any person you wish to include on the group health plan is actively involved in the daily operations of this not profit organization, and not just a member. In addition, if you are a sub-contractor for this non-profit organization, you may be considered “self-employed” and not eligible to be included on the organizations health plan. Most insurance companies will not recognize a 1099 contractor as a qualified employee of that company.

Check with a local agent in your state for more information on determining if you are able to establish a group health plan for your non-profit.

  1. Can we buy BCBS of an agent to act as group health insurance in Texas? It’s key that it is available in the state of Texas. My husband has his own company and is self employed for many years. He runs a small consulting business and we will pack our bags and move to Texas soon. Where we live now, we have BCBS group health plan insurance and we are very satisfied with that. We would be happy to continue to have them as our insurance carrier once we move there. I have looked around online but we can not find it. We are not interested in small business insurance or business owner insurance, because the rates are much better for group health insurance. I understand you are an agent, so can you help us find what we are looking for?
