Do you know of any Georgia health insurance companies that offer affordable health plans? I’m single with no kids and have one full-time job. So far, I know I have no medical conditions to speak of but I will undergo tests just in case.

It is highly recommended that you get some tests done before you consider health plans from Georgia health insurance companies. Do you have high cholesterol or high blood pressure? If you have high cholesterol or find out that you have other illnesses, then the insurance companies will probably write those off as pre-existing conditions. You might not get coverage for those conditions. There’s also the risk that the insurance companies may decline your application depending on the severity of your illnesses.

I also recommend that you visit a local independent agent who can probably give you options on Georgia health insurance plans. The agent probably works with the major insurance companies in your area and he or she can find the best insurance policy that best fits your budget and health requirements.

Just in case you come across medical discount plans, be very wary of them. They may be “affordable” but they’re very different from plans most Georgia health insurance companies offer. Make sure that you check on those discount plans with your insurance agent.
