What are the various types of Assurant health care insurance plans? What are the terms for eligibility and coverage under such plans?
Assurant health care policies are offered in various states across the country. Some of the individual, basic policies include Health Savings Account Plans (HSA), Network Plans, Traditional and Healthy Lifestyle Plans. Assurant group health care plans cover small businesses with 2 to 50 employees. Employers of such businesses can choose from Major Medical to Consumer Choice coverage. Consumer Choice Plans allow employers to help their employees save for their individual health care while covering major medical expenses. Major Medical Coverage on the other hand, is quite expensive and is suited to employers who can afford it. Students and self-employed individuals can choose Assurant’s short-term plans. Those who are interested in buying Assurant health care insurance plans can choose from several plans and carriers within the Assurant insurance network which are known to be affordable and easy to qualify for.
