I’m looking for an affordable Arizona health insurance plan and was offered a discount health plan. Should I take it? The offer sounds good.
Discount plans claim that you can “save up to 80%.” This offer is more tempting as compared to real health plans being offered by Arizona health insurance companies. However, there are risks and inconveniences in using discount plans. Before you sign up with a medical discount plan, ask the company to give you a list of doctors in the network. If they refuse to give you a list, that may be an indication that the plan’s just a scam. If you get a list, make sure to call the doctors in the list. There was one instance when an individual chose a discount plan instead of a health plan from a reputable health insurance company. The person ended up driving around for four hours to find a doctor who would accept the card. Doctors in the area wouldn’t take the card, and the only doctor who accepted the card was on probation for unlawful activities. I suggest that you contact an independent insurance agent to get you a credible Arizona health insurance plan. This agent probably knows the plans in your area. He can get you the plan that best fits your health requirements and budget. Answer by general public - June 17, 2009 @ 8:19 am No CommentsNo comments yet.
