The Medicare Rx plan is also known as the Medicare Prescription plan. This type of Aetna medical plan is further subdivided into several categories including the Medicare Rx Plus, Medicare Rx Essential plan, and the Medicare Rx Premier Plan. These Medicare plans will require you to pay a coinsurance so that you will get coverage for prescriptions. Payment of this coinsurance amount will also allow you to choose a plan that has no deductibles and receive unlimied coverage for various types of generic drugs. The Medicare Advantage plan is sometimes called Medicare Part C. In this Medicare plan, Aetna contracts with Medicare to provide all the benefits and medical services. The benefits that are provided through this plan are maximized when combined with Medicare. This plan also features Easy to budget coinsurance and Aetna Extras. An Aetna Medicare Supplement plan does not provide coverage for all the costs associated with health care and for supplementing the plan. This plan usually covers only Part A benefits such as hospital care and Part B benefits such as doctors’ bill and other related expenses. This plan helps you pay for all out-of-pocket expenses related to your treatment but it does not provide any prescription drug coverage. Aetna medical insurance plans offer varied benefits and coverage which are designed to basically help you pay for your medical and out-of-pocket expenses.
