I’ve heard about the Aetna Group Health Insurance from my friend, and she says I should get my insurance from this company. What does Aetna Group offer anyway?
The Aetna Group also recognizes the need to help its members continue to afford their health insurance plans despite the rising cost of health care. The Aetna Health Savings Account (HSA) or Medical, Flexible-Spending Account is an account often combined with health insurance that helps people save for future medical care or pay for present medical needs. Money can be set aside pre-tax to this account which will then be used for future medical expenses. The unused money in this account usually carries over to the following year. Another program that Aetna Group offers is the Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA). The HRA is an employer-funded health insurance option that aims to help employees or group members pay for uncovered medical expenses that other members would cover themselves. Keep in mind though that employers are not required to offer an HRA to their current or retired employees, and it’s the discretion of the employer who receives this health benefit. Aetna Group Health Insurance also provides insurance for vision, and two dental plan types: Dental Maintenance Organization (DMO) and Preferred Provider Organization (PPO).
